The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office said two people were dead in a four-vehicle accident at 192nd St and Highway 370 in Nebraska on Wednesday morning, Aug 7, 3 News Now reported.

According to the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office, a dump truck driven by Jesse Knight, 37 years old, of Papillion, hit the rear of a Toyota minivan stopped at a red light on Highway 370.

Passengers in the Toyota were identified as 37-year-old Kristy Young, 14-year-old Levi Young, 12-year-old Hunter Young, 16-year-old Abby Young, and 10-year-old Stephen Young. 

Authorities responded to the scene at 9:47 a.m. in reference to a personal injury accident.

Seven people were transported to CHI Health Bergan Mercy Hospital with injuries.

The sheriff’s office stated that Stephen was pronounced dead at the scene and that Abby was pronounced dead at the hospital. Both were students at Millard Public Schools, according to KETV.

Kristy, Levi, and Hunter were all transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation. No further information will be released until family members are notified.

Crisis teams will be available for students and staff at Reagan Elementary and Millard West starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow, according to KETV.

Officers have blocked off Highway 370 between 180th Street and 204th Street.
