The Biden administration’s open borders campaign continues despite the collapse of the U.S. southern border. Now, Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), invites more deported illegal immigrants to return to the U.S. with the argument that they can be reunited with their children who made it across even if not legally.

Given the dire economic situation in many Latin American countries, there is an increase in the number of parents who manage to get to the border and leave their children on the U.S. side, intending to obtain a legal entry visa in the future.

For several years leftist governments have created expectations by granting residency visas to entire families to reunite with their migrant children in the United States. Unfortunately, the current administration has returned to these methods, creating even more expectations for continuing the perverse modality in which migrants abandon their children at the borders.

Currently, Mayorkas explicitly promotes this type of family reunion by granting resident visas to deported illegal immigrants simply because their children or relatives have made it across the border.

Family reunions, coupled with proven marketing techniques, are extremely exciting in the eyes of voters, who end up accepting the open borders policy moved by the images used by the government as populist propaganda to divert attention from the problem of illegal immigration and the collapse of the borders.

“The Department of Homeland Security is committed to the relentless pursuit of reuniting families who were cruelly separated by the previous administration,” Mayorkas said in a DHS statement.

He went on to say, “When we reunified the first seven families last month, I said that this was just the beginning. In the coming weeks, we will reunify 29 more families. In close coordination with non-governmental organizations, legal, and interagency partners, the Task Force will continue this critical work.”

Mark Zuckerberg’s investor group,, is quietly funding a huge lobbying campaign for more amnesty and more migration. The campaign’s leaders say the videos of emotional reunifications of deported migrants are helping them deflect television coverage from the alarming flow of illegal economic migrants encouraged by President Joe Biden’s immigration policies.

“Some of the family reunifications we saw changed the coverage in May of this year and began to humanize exactly what is happening,” said Xochitl Hinojosa, director of public relations firm Bully Pulpit Interactive. She spoke during a May 26 video presentation to Zuckerberg-linked amnesty activists.

Team members admitted that they are attempting to reframe the national migration debate around the personal emotions of individual migrants.

The reframing aims to exclude any media acknowledgment of Americans’ economic and ideological concerns about society, the law, crime, border violations, and the enormous impact of migration on wages and housing prices. For example, a March 9 polling memo advised pro-amnesty lawmakers to avoid talking about the economics of migration:

“It is better to focus on all of the aforementioned sympathetic details of those affected (by an amnesty) than to make economic arguments, including arguments about wages or labor demand,” said a memo accessed by Breitbart.

The pro-immigration group’s influence in the White House was highlighted on May 14 when Biden met with several migrants who were given work permits by President Barack Obama’s 2012 DACA directive. The six immigrants were led by Maria Praeli, who works as a government relations manager for the many wealthy investors in Zuckerberg’s group.

Biden echoed’ 2021 amnesty strategy in a statement after meeting with Praeli and the other migrants, posting on his Twitter account:

“Last week I had the chance to meet with Dreamers in the Oval Office. These young people are part of the fabric of our nation and vital to our future. Congress needs to pass the U.S. Citizenship Act and create a path to citizenship for Dreamers, farm workers, and TPS holders now.”

Such policies are imperative for the Biden administration to reverse the negative image grown in recent months due to border policies. The procedures generate a new voter base for Democrats among illegal immigrants but are increasingly unpopular among Republicans and even Democrats disappointed by the measures.
