Some netizens said that shops had run out of firecrackers and champagne.

The Committee to Prepare Commemoration of the Death of Jiang Zemin initiated by the people of Hong Kong was published on Facebook. A group of Hong Kong citizens ran to the main gate of the Central Liaison Office in Hong Kong on the night of the news of Jiang’s death, opened champagne and celebrated his death.

On July 6, 2011, Minghui Net published an article signed by Fei Ming, “Buy firecrackers, set off firecrackers,” calling on every person with a sense of justice to celebrate the death of this cruel and shameless villain.

The article said that regardless of whether Jiang Zemin is dead or alive, the time to celebrate National Day is not far off and the Chinese people should buy and set off firecrackers to celebrate the death of this evil political thug.

The article pointed out that since July 20, 1999, the CCP and Jiang’s gang of delinquents had persecuted Falun Gong practitioners and countless family members, relatives, friends, and colleagues of the Falun Gong practitioners have been implicated and persecuted. Jiang, who has committed many crimes, will always be slandered by the world.

Professor Zhang Tianliang said that if the firecrackers celebrating Jiang’s death reverberated throughout China, it would be clear proof that he was unpopular, it would also be great encouragement to those who have been oppressed for a long time, and it will also show contempt and resistance to the CCP.

He said that regardless of Jiang’s current situation, we could say that he was dead or about to die, a disgraceful death that was constantly condemned and vilified.

Shi Zangshan, an expert on China affairs in Washington, said that cursing Jiang and expecting him to die has become the current public opinion of the Chinese people.
