The Indianapolis Colts continued building their defense by taking Temple cornerback Rock Ya-Sin with their first pick in this year’s NFL draft.
General manager Chris Ballard traded Indy’s first-round pick to the Washington Redskins for a second-round pick this year and another second-rounder in 2020. The deal gave the Colts three second-round picks, the first courtesy of last year’s trade with the New York Jets.
And now Ballard hopes to strike it rich in the second round — just like he did last year.
The Colts started by taking the 6-foot, 192-pound Temple star.
Indy will pick again at No. 46 and No. 59 in the second round and in the third round at No. 89.
