In a high-scoring championship game, sports writer Eric Shultz prevailed to win the 2018 Citizens’ Voice High School Fantasy Football League, and the coveted gold belt that goes with the title.

Shultz benefitted from a late signing, bringing in quarterback David Piestrak from Northwest to replace Williamsport’s Joe Fagnano. Piestrak’s 345 yards and six touchdowns scored 53 points and led Shultz to the championship over sports editor Tony Maluso.

Maluso was lifted by 250 yards, three touchdowns and 46 points from Wyoming Area’s Corey Mruk, a fantasy star over the last half of the season. However, Piestrak’s big night, combined with the fact that his top target, Connor Hazlet, was also on Team Shultz, was too much to overcome.

Here’s a look at the Week 10 breakdown and a season wrap-up.
