HUNTINGTON — Science can be scary, area youth learned Saturday, but the students faced their fears to get to the sweet candy prize by the day’s end.

Children celebrated at the second annual Science Bash, a Halloween-themed science festival at Marshall University on Saturday, which featured haunted houses, Marshall’s planetarium, slime making, eyeball dissection, bug eating and more. The event was topped off with trick-or-treating and a costume contest.

The event was sponsored by the West Virginia Science Adventures and the Marshall University College of Science.
