A leaked video recently released by Project Veritas shows Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg downplaying the violence of left-wing rioters and falsely claiming that they were “treated less leniently” compared to protesters on Capitol Hill.

Project Veritas posted a controversial video on its Twitter account on Sunday night, Jan. 31, showing Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg providing a message to his employees and downplaying the violence perpetrated by left-wing radicals who during 2020 committed rampages in every major city in the country.

In the Twitter message, Project Veritas invites Facebook employees to tell their experiences safely and privately.

“OUR INSIDER IS STILL ON THE INSIDE. Other Facebook employees can contact us securely at [email protected],” reads the message in which Zuckerberg’s video is linked.

“It was troubling to see how people in this [Capitol] mob were treated compared to the stark contrast we saw during  protests earlier this year,” said Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg’s comments in the video posted by Project Veritas hint that he is attempting to persuade his listeners that the Jan. 6 riot, an isolated incident, was treated leniently compared to the systematic violence perpetrated by antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM) supporters since the summer of 2020, which includes assaults on elected officials, destruction of public buildings, looting, robberies, and multiple murders.

First of all it is worth clarifying that Zuckerberg takes for granted in his speech that the Jan. 6 rioters on Capitol Hill are conservatives and supporters of former President Donald Trump. Which we know is not true because more and more evidence shows that there was a clear infiltration of leftists belonging to antifa and BLM.

Secondly, Zuckerberg’s comments are not true if we take into account that the conflicts on Capitol Hill lasted a couple of hours until they were controlled and subsequently a full army of 20,000 National Guardsmen, a highly exaggerated and criticized measure, overran the area and much of it continues to this day following orders from the Biden administration.

And just to mention one example among many, in Seattle, far left anarchists and BLM supporters established what they called the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ),” an anarchic state within a state and lawless.

As a result, a 16-year-old bystander lost his life, allegedly killed by the inexperienced “security forces” of CHAZ. Other deaths followed as a result of shootings in internal clashes.

However, law enforcement did nothing to stop it, and Seattle’s Democratic authorities, starting with Mayor Jenny Durkan, acted as complicit and supportive for much of the duration of the takeover.

In addition, most Democratic state governments caved during 2020 to leftist demands to cut funding to police forces, and have consistently supported their protests even at the height of the pandemic when authorities kept businesses and churches closed and restricted family gatherings.

For all these reasons, the message delivered by Zuckerberg is meaningless. The Facebook CEO’s comments can only be understood by analyzing why a page of 20,000 followers of Portland’s Rose City Antifa, arguably the most violent antifa group in the country, remains active on the platform, despite Facebook’s supposed “zero tolerance policy” for violent extremist groups.
