According to a new report, two military veterans stormed out of a meeting with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after the 29-year-old lawmaker slammed U.S. foreign policy.

According to the New York Post, on Wednesday night, Ocasio-Cortez held a closed-door meeting with community leaders in the Bronx part of her New York district. The freshman Democrat criticized U.S. dealings with Saudi Arabia at the meeting.

“I just couldn’t hear her BS anymore,” said former Community Board 11 chairman and Army veteran Anthony Vitaliano, 78. “I just got up, got my umbrella in my hand, and walked right out.”

Vitaliano also worked for the New York Police Department for nearly 40 years and led the Bronx’s homicide detectives.

“She knocks the country, she knocks the president. And that’s not what America is about,” said Silvio Mazzella, a Vietnam War vet and treasurer of Community Board 11.

“Talking about America, that really turned me off completely,” said Mazzella, 74, who said he fought in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968.

The progressive firebrand slammed the US policy of providing bombs to Saudi Arabia, which has supported Yemen’s government in a brutal civil war, according to attendees. Some blamed her for not including the roles of other nations in explaining the volatile region’s violence.

Another attendee said he was “revolted” when Ocasio-Cortez called President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “autocrats.”

Vitaliano said Ocasio-Cortez “danced around” the question of Columbus Day, which his neighborhood marks every year with a parade. He said he supports designating a separate day for celebrating indigenous people, but not to replace Columbus Day.

The room wasn’t entirely hostile to AOC, though. One attendee said, “There were a lot of people that really adored what she was saying.”
