Under the leadership of Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey, Democrats introduced the Reproductive Freedom Act that seeks to eliminate all time limits on abortion while forcing all state taxpayers to pay for it as part of “healthcare,” the Washington Examiner reported.
“A fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus shall not have independent rights under the laws of this State,” the bill states.
The bill, now in the state Senate, begins its text with a controversial and rebuttable statement, “Abortion is one of the safest medical procedures performed in the United States,” but in reality, during an abortion, the unborn child is killed, which is a life at the moment of conception, so the statement is completely false.
In addition, many times women suffer injuries to their reproductive system, and in some cases die from the rigors of the procedure.
The bill seeks to subsidize and legalize “the fundamental right to reproductive autonomy,” including “the right to contraception, the right to abortion.” This means that abortion must be legal and fully paid for in all circumstances, for any reason, at any stage until the baby is born. In other words, abortion on demand, paid for by others.
In order to establish abortion on demand as part of “healthcare,” the law will seek to remove the few restrictions that the practice currently has in New Jersey: that only licensed physicians can perform it and that a baby over 14 weeks cannot be aborted.
The time limit under this law would disappear completely and live, healthy babies could be aborted at birth.
It would also destroy the protection of conscience. Murphy would ban group and individual health insurance plans that do not cover 100% abortion without restrictions or prior authorization. Again: abortion on demand, without explanation, at any time, and paid for by people who oppose abortion.
The idea of legalizing infanticide is not new to the Democrats’ homicidal agenda.
In January 2019, Virginia state Rep. Kathy Tran proposed a similar bill to eliminate any time limit on a woman’s decision to abort, even at the time labor begins under the guise of not jeopardizing the mother’s ‘mental health’ or if the baby has a defect (eugenics).
“A child can be tortured and killed seconds before it is born in New York simply because it is seen as an ‘inconvenience’ to some and a money-maker for others,” said Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel. “If the child happens to be born alive, it can now be left to suffer and die. New York has dehumanized the child in the womb, including those born alive after a failed abortion. This is infanticide.”
