Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, made strong statements about how Democrats would be making political use of the pandemic to win the presidential election in November, and how social confinement is destroying the United States,—they “have decided to use our public health emergency as a political weapon to win the election,” Carlson said, outraged, on his “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Friday, Aug. 14.

Following Democratic candidate Joe Biden’s call to make masks mandatory nationwide for the next three months, Carlson argued that this is a message of “power and coercion” to the population and “Biden didn’t specify which epidemiological studies would justify a law like that.”

“Biden’s never been much of a science guy, he’s a lifelong politician. His specialty is not public health, his specialty is power and coercion, so he does what he knows,” Carlson said. Ironically, he said that Biden “has made at least one campaign promise so far. He has pledged, if elected, he will force you to wear a mask when you go outside.”

In his analysis, Carlson referred to the unhappiness and fear that the American people are experiencing, because of measures to maintain social distancing as a way to mitigate the spread of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Virus, and pointed out that it is a situation that politically benefits those who want to take power in the next election.

“Thanks to restrictions that are rooted in politics rather than science, children can’t go to school or play with their friends, parents can’t go to work, people can’t get married or attend funerals. … Human contact has been drastically curtailed.” He added that Democratic state governors have done their part to keep citizens terrified and unhappy.

He also reported some alarming figures related to the depressed state of the population, such as recently 25% of young people between 18 and 24 have seriously considered suicide, according to CDC data, or the increase in drug overdose cases by 30% to 40% since the outbreak of the CCP Virus, according to the National Institute of Drug Abuse.

According to Carlson, “Terrified, unhappy populations want change, and that’s welcome news to the party trying to take power.”
