A former president accused his opponents of using the pandemic to win the election through unlawful means.

Donald Trump believes political foes used the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Virus as an excuse for cheating and stealing the 2020 presidential election.

“They used COVID [CCP Virus] in order to cheat, they used COVID in order to rig the election and in order to steal the election,” he said according to the Washington Examiner. “That is as simple as it gets.”

President Trump, who still refuses to concede defeat, made the remarks at his Ohio post-presidency rally on June 26.

Trump has consistently challenged the outcome of the November election for more than five months since leaving the White House.

The previous president believes his opponents took advantage of the CCP Virus, which spread from the China to the United States, as an excuse to use mail-in ballots and rig the election. Several states allowed postal voting in the 2020 election to curb transmission of the virus.

“Because of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, 2020 will be the most RIGGED election in our nations history–unless this stupidity is ended,” he said in a now deleted Twitter post. “We voted during World War One and World War Two with no problem but now they are using covid in order to cheat by using mail-ins!”

Trump also hailed those Republican lawmakers as “patriots” who want to reexamine the 2020 election in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

“I hear now that Wisconsin is looking very, very seriously [into the allegations of voter fraud], and I respect Wisconsin so much—it is a great state,” he said. “They are looking very seriously, Pennsylvania is really starting to take this very seriously.”

Wisconsin state Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R) vowed to hire police officers and an attorney to investigate potential irregularities and/or illegalities in the November election. Contracts obtained by the Associated Press confirm he has already appointed some members to the investigation team.

Pennsylvania state Sen. David Argall (R) recently revealed a forensic audit of 2020 election results, resembling another being conducted in Arizona, is a “very real possibility.”

Meanwhile, Trump condemned the Michigan Senate where “RINOs” released a report, confirming Joe Biden carried the state in 2020.

“Michigan is not [taking the allegations of voter fraud seriously]. You cannot get those Republicans. Some are great by the way but Michigan is not doing the job,” he said. “How do you win Ohio by so much, record numbers, and lose Michigan?”

Trump also lashed out at Georgia, saying Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was too late in removing 100,000 “out of date” names from voter rolls.

“Now, they are saying they are going to delete over 100,000 names. I said, ‘Why the hell didn’t you delete them before the election, not after the election?'” he said.
