The President Donald Trump, referred to the four days in which the Democratic National Convention was held as a telethon that was used to attack the United States as a dark and gloomy place.
During a presentation to the National Policy Council, a conservative activist group, the president questioned Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for referring to the United States as a dark place instead of highlighting its greatness.
“Four straight days attacking America, as a racist, horrible country that must be redeemed,” the president said. He added, “Joe Biden grimly declared a season of American darkness, but look at what we’ve accomplished, until the plague came in, and look, we’re doing it again,” according to Fox News.
“They want to punish America and its citizens, instead of holding them high. Where Joe Biden sees American darkness, I see American greatness,” the president said.
The president also said the Democrats were not fit to lead, noting that instead they had a bias that sought to “tear down America.”
Trump further criticized Biden because he “didn’t talk about law enforcement” or China, saying that if the Democratic Party candidate is elected, China “will own our country. “We’re not going to let that happen,” he added.
“China very much wants Joe Biden to win,” the president said, citing recent U.S. intelligence reports that suggest China would prefer Trump to lose the November election.
The president criticized the Democrats’ proposals, noting further, “They want to end oil, they want to end guns, they want to take away Second Amendment—that alone should win you the election.”
“The more success we’ve achieved, the more unhinged the radical left has become,” President Trump added, referring to the civil unrest. “The future of our country and indeed our civilization is at stake on Nov. 3.”
As the Daily Wire noted, last Friday President Trump appeared in Pennsylvania, Biden’s hometown, where he said he was the candidate of “the privileged liberal hypocrites who maintain their values to the disdain.”
