President Trump has grabbed plenty of attention from the media after he spoke with reporters at the White House on Wednesday, Aug. 21, and said trade cheating of the United States from China had been going on way too long, and he believes he is the man for the job to put an end to it. “I am the chosen one,” said the president, as he glanced over his shoulder and turned his gaze toward the heavens. “Somebody had to do it, so I’m taking on China, I’m taking on China on trade,” he told reporters.

“And you know what? We’re winning.” The president refuted claims that the trade war with China is leading the global economy into a recession. “The economy is doing very, very well,” “I was put here by the people to do a great job,” and referring to those reports that seek to convince people otherwise he added, “The fake news, of which many of you are members, is trying to convince the public to have a recession,” Trump said.

“Somebody said this is Trump’s trade war. It’s not my trade war. This is a trade war that should have taken place a long time ago by a lot of other presidents,” he said, referring to a mess left by former presidents. With China having had its worst year in the past 50 years, a result of the president refusing to budge on what he wants for the United States, President Trump said China is now in a position where they are willing to do a trade deal, and they can’t afford to wait much longer, “They’ve lost two and a half million jobs in a very short period of time,” said the president. It’s not only China who has been robbing America but also the European Union, to the extent of $200 billion every year, which is less than half the $500 billion ripped off from China each year.

“The United States is doing phenomenally well, but one thing I have to do is economically take on China because China has been ripping us off for many years,” he added.
“Our economy is the strongest in the world by far,” and referring to Joe Biden’s comments about China is wonderful, the president said,  Well, China is wonderful for China, but I’m wonderful for the USA.”
