Election officials in Michigan’s largest county reversed course late Tuesday night and voted to certify the Nov. 3 election results.
The Wayne County Board of Canvassers consists of two Republicans and two Democrats who arrived at a gridlock 2-2 earlier in the day.
Michigan GOP Chairwoman Laura Cox responded to the initial news, saying, “I am proud that, due to the efforts of the Michigan Republican Party, the Republican National Committee and the Trump Campaign, enough evidence of irregularities and potential voter fraud was uncovered resulting in the Wayne County Board of Canvassers refusing to certify their election results.”
“This action will allow more time for us to get to the bottom of these deeply troubling irregularities,” Cox added. “The people of Michigan deserve fair, open, and transparent elections, and we will continue to fight for just that.”
President Trump hailed the decision, “Wow! Michigan just refused to certify the election results! Having courage is a beautiful thing. The USA stands proud!”

But later in the night, the Republican members flipped and voted to certify the election result and asked Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to audit certain precincts with “unexplained discrepancies between the number of absentee ballots records as cast and the number of absentee ballots counted,” according to a local outlet.
Following their initial decision, the two Republican members, William Hartmann and Monica Palmer, were threatened and accused of being “racist” in a Zoom meeting by Ned Staebler, a Democratic activist. He also worked as a poll watcher in the county.
“Just know when you try to sleep tonight, that millions of people around the world now on Twitter know the name Monica Palmer and William Hartmann,” Staebler said, “as two people completely racist and without an understanding of what integrity means or a shred of human decency. The law’s not on your side. History won’t be on your side, he declared.”
Following the “will of the people” does not entail using threats, extortion, doxxing or intimidation to certify what even the Democrats admit are highly flawed election results. That is following the will of the leftist mob.

Staebler also promotes violence against Trump supporters on social media.
Many disturbing and deeply bigoted tweets found on @NedStaebler’s deranged twitter account
