President Joe Biden’s job performance fell to a new low on Wednesday, July 28, a half of a year since he took office, according to a survey by Rasmussen Reports.

The daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows that 46% of “Likely U.S. Voters” approve the job President Biden is doing, the lowest rating so far.

Meanwhile, 52% of voters disapprove of the way Biden is handling his job as president, putting him six points “underwater.”

The latest figures include 26% who “Strongly Approve” of Biden’s job performance and 42% who “Strongly Disapprove,”, which gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16.

Biden’s rating has been in the high 40s and low 50s throughout much of his presidency thus far in the Rasmussen poll.

His performance tanked to the new low one day after Biden’s CDC issued new guidance on public health, saying that, “Everyone in areas of substantial/high transmission should wear a mask, even if vaccinated.”

Citing a surge of a contagious Delta variant in the United States, the CDC also asked the unvaccinated people to “get vaccinated & mask until you do.”

The new rule, which reversed its earlier guidance that only unvaccinated individuals should wear face coverings, came even as the Biden administration insisted that COVID-19 vaccines work.

The critics claimed that the administration has cast doubt on a safe and effective vaccine and even contradicted why vaccines exist by forcing vaccinated Americans to return to masks.
