The president welcomed the recent release of court documents that expose a federal law enforcement agency’s alleged attempts to set up a national security expert for termination.

President Donald Trump has applauded the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) decision to release redacted court documents, which were originally filed under seal, stating the FBI tried to frame former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn for either prosecution or dismissal.

The president believes the evidence could be used to bring a former FBI director to justice.

“‘Dirty cop’ James Comey got caught,” he said on Twitter.

The documents contain handwritten notes that the FBI controversially withheld from lawyers acting in Flynn’s defense in a federal court case about whether he accepted money from foreign governments without White House approval.

“What is our goal?” an FBI agent said in the redacted documents shared on Scribd. “To get him to lie so we can prosecute him or get him fired. We regularly stow subject’s evidence with the goal of getting them to admit their wrongdoing.”

The president vowed to take steps to help ensure no civil servant is mistreated in the same way again.

“What happened to [retired U.S. Army Lt.] Gen. Michael Flynn, a war hero, should never be allowed to happen to a citizen of the United States again,” he said on Twitter.

Flynn welcomed the public release of the evidence and celebrated by sharing a video of the national flag hoisted up onto a pole. The Twitter video has been liked more than 208,600 times and retweeted 62,200 times.

“Imagine having your life and reputation ruined by rogue U.S. government officials,” Donald Trump Jr. said on Twitter. “Then years later when the plot finally comes to light the first thing you do is post an American flag. This is the guy they wanted you to believe was a Russian asset. [I am making a] face with rolling eyes.”

The video eventually reached the Oval Office, prompting the president to share it on Twitter with the description “great.” He believes the FBI also mistreated political consultant Roger Stone during a separate investigation.

“Does anybody really believe that Roger Stone, a man whose house was raided early in the morning by 29 gun toting FBI Agents (with fake news CNN closely in toe), was treated fairly?” the president said on Twitter. “How about the jury forewoman with her unannounced hatred and bias. Same scammers as [former Lt.] Gen. Flynn.”
