President Donald Trump mocked Joe Biden on Wednesday, Oct. 9,  for making a major speech, which exposed his support for the president’s impeachment.

“So pathetic to see Sleepy Joe Biden, who with his son, Hunter, and to the detriment of the American Taxpayer, has ripped off at least two countries for millions of dollars, calling for my impeachment—and I did nothing wrong,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

“Joe’s Failing Campaign gave him no other choice!” he added.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said Wednesday for the first time that President Donald Trump must be impeached for abusing the powers of his office to help his own re-election.

“To preserve our Constitution, our democracy, our basic integrity, he should be impeached,” Biden said, accusing Trump of “shooting holes in the Constitution.”

“This is a president who has decided this nation doesn’t have the tools, the power, the political will” to punish bad behavior, Biden said.

“We’re not going to let Donald Trump pick the Democratic nominee for president,” Biden added. “I’m not going to let him get away with it. He’s picked a fight with the wrong guy.”

Biden made the remarks as part of a 25-minute speech in New Hampshire as Trump pushed accusations that the former vice president and his son had dealings in Ukraine.

President Trump insisted that Biden used his role as vice president to protect his son from corruption investigations when he pressed for the firing of the top Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, during President Barack Obama’s second term.

The president also shared a video on Twitter highlighting Biden and his son Hunter Biden’s alleged corruption in Ukraine.

A new poll by Investor’s Business Daily/TIPP showed 57% of respondents favor a Justice Department investigation on Biden and his son Hunter Biden regarding their actions in Ukraine and China.

The poll showed on Friday, Oct. 4, that Biden’s political prospects have taken a hit by the Ukraine and China issues triggered by the whistleblower’s complaint against President Donald Trump. Only 37% of respondents were against the investigation.

The former vice president was leading the U.S.’s diplomatic dealings with Kyiv while his son, Hunter, served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company that paid him $50,000 per month. Biden had pressured the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor, general who was investigating the company’s head, Hunter Biden is also listed as director at China-backed equity firm.
