The new book “Plot against the President” by Lee Smith was published on 29 Oct. The book exposes the deep state operation against the president and the American people.

The author, Lee Smith is an experienced investigative journalist. He was formerly a senior editor at The Weekly Standard. He is currently a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, Smith is the also author of The Strong Horse: Power, Politics, and the Clash of Arab Civilizations (Doubleday 2010).

In his new book, Smith revealed that the arranged coup started right after the poll closed and shed light on how the then chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Congressman Devin Nunes and his investigative team uncovered the plot.

Fox News reported that Clinton family associate Sidney Blumenthal sent a threatening letter to Smith and publisher Center Street in an effort to impede the publication. Blumenthal claims the book featuring allegations against Democrats in connection with the Russia investigation was defamatory, says a source familiar with the matter.

Smith also confirmed the threat imposed on him, saying “People in the Clinton world are keen for this book not to come out,”.

Yet, Center House reportedly found Blumenthal’s legal claim “meritless”, indicated the source.

The book was still published on the date as previously planned.

President Trump took to Twitter on Monday to praise the book.

Smith responded giving credit to Nunes and his team for standing up to “defend our principles and uncover the biggest political scandal in US history”
