President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Nov. 19, accused Nancy Pelosi of wanting to change the U.S. voting system, calling the House speaker “crazy.”

“Nancy Pelosi just stated that ‘it is dangerous to let the voters decide Trump’s fate.’ @FoxNews In other words, she thinks I’m going to win and doesn’t want to take a chance on letting the voters decide,” President Trump wrote in a tweet on early Tuesday.

“Like Al Green, she wants to change our voting system,” the president tweeted. “Wow, she’s CRAZY!”.

President Trump was responding to Pelosi after a memo showed the House speaker told fellow Democrats that it would be “dangerous” to skip impeachment and wait for the election next year to determine whether the president should remain in office.

“That dangerous position only adds to the urgency of our action, because the president is jeopardizing the integrity of the 2020 elections,” Pelosi wrote to her Democratic colleagues in the memo sent on Monday, Washington Examiner reported.

Pelosi said the call to skip impeachment proceedings and let voters determine the 2020 election is “the weak response” to the Democrats’ ongoing hearings.

The memo showed Pelosi sounded convinced that the Democrats should draft articles of impeachment.

“The facts are uncontested: that the President abused his power for his own personal, political benefit, at the expense of our national security interests,” Pelosi wrote, in a likely reference to President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine.
