President Donald Trump at  the White House press briefing on April 8, on CCP Virus (coronavirus) spoke about the Democratic presidential primary, suggesting that he knows why former President Barack Obama is holding off his endorsement for former Vice President Joe Biden.

“I don’t know why President Obama hasn’t supported Joe Biden a long time ago. There’s something he feels is wrong,” President Trump said.

“He knows something that you don’t know, that I think I know. But you don’t know,” he added. “I’m sure he’s got to come out at some point because he certainly doesn’t want to see me for four more years.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday announced the suspension of his campaign and acknowledged that Biden would be the eventual Democratic presidential nominee.

“What I said from the first day that I announced my intention to run for president: I will do everything that I can to make sure that Donald Trump is not re-elected,” Sanders said during an interview with “The Late Show” on Wednesday night, reported the NBC News.

Sanders won big in New Hampshire and Nevada caucuses but Biden regained his status as a front-runner after he received endorsements from Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg on the eve of the Super Tuesday elections.

Buttigieg reportedly discussed his withdrawal from the 2020 White House bid with Obama who advised him to use the leverage he gathered during the campaign, reported the New York Post

Multiple sources told the NBC News that Sander’s team has been “coordinating extensively” with the Biden campaign since early March, in which Obama took part of their discussions. Obama has spoken with both candidates multiple times in the past month.

Sanders said Wednesday that he will remain on the ballot in upcoming states and will continue amassing delegates.

“He didn’t really drop out,” President Trump remarked. “That’s not dropping out, when you keep your delegates and then you want more delegates before you get to the convention, that’s a weird deal going on there.”
