President Trump on Monday, Aug. 12, fired back at Anthony Scaramucci after the White House former communications director recommended Republicans replace Trump in 2020.

“Scaramucci, who like so many others had nothing to do with my Election victory, is only upset that I didn’t want him back in the Administration (where he desperately wanted to be),” the president tweeted.

“Also, I seldom had time to return his many calls to me. He just wanted to be on TV!” President Trump added.

Earlier on Monday, Scaramucci, who only served as White House communications director for 11 and was then fired from the position, told Axios that Republicans should find another candidate to replace Trump in 2020.

“A couple more weeks like this and ‘country over party’ is going to require the Republicans to replace the top of the ticket in 2020,” Scaramucci said.

Scaramucci also said if President Trump “doesn’t reform his behavior, it will not just be me, but many others will be considering helping to find a replacement in 2020.”

Over the weekend the president also criticized Scaramucci after he called President Trump’s visit to mass shootings sites “catastrophe.”

“Anthony Scaramucci, who was quickly terminated (11 days) from a position that he was totally incapable of handling, now seems to do nothing but television as the all time expert on “President Trump.” Like many other so-called television experts, he knows very little about me, other than the fact that this Administration has probably done more than any other Administration in its first 2 1/2 years of existence,” President Trump said in tweet.

“Anthony, who would do anything to come back in, should remember the only reason he is on TV, and it’s not for being the Mooch!” the president added.

Mercedes Schlapp on Monday told Fox News that Scaramucci scared young staffers during his short time with the administration, saying “You can ask young staffers in the communications office that literally were terrorized by Anthony Scaramucci, where he only survived 11 days in that job.”
