President Donald Trump has just published a video about Barrack Obama and blamed him for Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Trump asked: “Why didn’t President Obama act when he first heard of Russian interference?”
Earlier, the President said the previous administration took insufficient action to prevent the interference.
“Anything the Russians did concerning the 2016 Election was done while Obama was President. He was told about it and did nothing! Most importantly, the vote was not affected,” Trump tweeted Thursday evening.

The Mueller report wrote: “Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
Obama has faced some criticism for how his administration handled Russian interference once he was made aware of the efforts.
“I think the [Obama] administration needed to call out Russia earlier, needed to act to deter and punish Russia earlier,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), then the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said in a 2017 CNN interview.
