Supporters of President have prepared a defense for him in impeachment inquiry promoted by the Democrats.
President Trump has been accused by the Democrats, who claim he called Ukraine’s president to offer economic aid in exchange for the Ukrainian government investigating former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, who is his political rival in the 2020 elections.
However, the process that the Democrats have set in motion to try to remove the president presents irregularities that call into question its validity and constitutionality.
“We’ve been through it before,” a Trump campaign source told Breitbart News. “We’re old enough to remember when they were going to impeach the President over collusion with Russia.”
“It seems to me that this [impeachment inquiry] has been [created] for Democrats to harm the president for purely political reasons,” Kevin Brady (R-Texas) said.
In an interview with local media KPRC 2 Click2Houston, the Republican congressman said the Democrats know they were wrong and that the impeachment inquiry was only prompted so that President Trump would not be re-elected.
Breitbart News inquired about how Trump’s campaign team is preparing to face the various accusations.
Breitbart News notes that President Trump’s “war room” has veteran politicians “familiar with the Democrat tactics in Congress.”
Regarding the Ukraine Case, the White House emphatically denied the accusations made against the president and published transcripts of the conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The dialogue shows that President Trump did not pressure or offer any financial compensation to Ukraine to investigate the son of Joe Biden, who was involved in a case of corruption of the main gas company in the European country.
“We’ve all seen the transcript and the president did nothing wrong,” one of the officials involved in Trump’s re-election campaign told Breitbart News.
According to ABC News, the ‘digital war room’ staff is 16 people ready “to respond to any of the Democratic attempts to attack the president.”
“The White House has also bolstered its communications staff for the fight,” Breitbart said.
Indeed, one of the powerful political figures who has joined the communications campaign—according to the Wall Street Journal—is former Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Treasury Tony Sayegh, who has settled in the White House to help coordinate communications strategy for upcoming hearings.
Breitbart describes Sayegh as “widely respected” in the Trump administration for helping “sell the president’s successful 2017 tax cuts.”
Sayegh was seen on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Nov. 12, when he attended a meeting with House Republicans about Wednesday’s public hearings with former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor and Deputy Assistant Secretary in the European and Eurasian Bureau at the U.S. Department of State George Kent, reported McClatchy Washington Bureau, a news agency focused on Washington D.C. policy.
Both diplomats, Kent and Taylor, are believed to be key witnesses for House Speaker Adam Schiff in the impeachment inquiry that accuses the president.
While the White House did not confirm it, former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi would also have joined the communications team to address the accusations of Democrats and mainstream media aligned with the opposition.
Bondi has been publicly honored by President Trump himself in the past, who has highlighted the former official’s ability in communications and the legal arena.
“I’d consider Pam Bondi for anything,” the president told reporters a year ago. “But in some form, I’d love to have her in the administration,” he added.
