The Washington Post published an article by Beijing bureau chief Anna Fifield, in which she spreads extensive propaganda for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and criticizes the United States, which generated a wave of criticism against the Post.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas), called this article a “press release” from the CCP. For Twitter user Drew Holden the Washington Post was “unequivocally morally bankrupt,” according to one of his tweets.

“Joking aside, the Washington Post publishes an article applauding a totalitarian regime that is actively committing genocide—just when they need American public relations to address the elections, after a global pandemic they have lost—is unequivocally morally bankrupt,” Holden tweeted.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) attacked Jeff Bezos the owner of the Post, repeating the question of one of its readers: Is it time for Jeff Bezos to hire his parents to run the Washington Post, alluding to the fact that Jeff would need their supervision to run his newspaper properly.

WSJ also wrote, “Democracy never lives in the darkness of a communist dictatorship,” referring to the Post’s motto: Democracy dies in the dark.

In turn, Drew Holden insists, “I see the death of objective reporting continues apace,” in one of his tweets showing the cover of the Washington Post article and another one from CNN with a similar tendency.

the Washington Post has received at least $4.6 million since 2016 from China Daily, one of the main propaganda media outlets controlled by the CCP, to publish the “China Watch” supplements, according to the Daily Caller.

In total, the CCP paid $19 million for propaganda in U.S. media over the past four years.

Organizations such as Freedom House and the Hoover Institution have warned about inserts paid for by China Daily in reports about the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to influence U.S. media.

With the approaching presidential elections, this CCP influence on the media has not gone unnoticed by the president, who has always denounced mainstream media opposition.

Trump said he believes that the CCP will “do everything it can” to make sure he loses his re-election and Joe Biden wins, “to keep on ripping off the United States.”

“China is in a massive disinformation campaign because they are desperate for Sleepy Joe Biden to win the presidential race so they can continue to rip-off the United States, as they have done for decades until I came along,” the president said.
