Donald Trump’s former second-in-command publicly questioned Democratic Party policies that made America depend more on Russia.
Mike Pence’s Advancing American Freedom (AAF) recently launched a $10 million advertising campaign against multiple Democrats who restricted U.S. oil and gas industry growth.
“Joe Biden caved to the radical environmentalists and stopped America’s Keystone Pipeline, and dramatically increased Americans’s dependence on Russian oil–endangering America’s security and helping Russia fund their invasion [of Ukraine,]” AAF said in a video shared on YouTube.
The former president’s organization wants the United States to regain energy independence and ease soaring gasoline prices for consumers.
“Call congresswoman [Cynthia] Axne (D-Iowa) and tell her to support America’s security instead of Russia’s terror,” AAF said.
Pence suggested the first step is to revive the $5.2 billion Keystone Pipeline Project.
“It is time for President Biden to demonstrate American strength by restarting the Keystone Pipeline, restoring oil and natural gas leases, and issuing sanctions and imposing embargoes on all oil and gas exports from Russia,” he said in a statement.
The ads target the following House Democrats:
- Colin Allred (D-Tex.)
- Cindy Axne (D-Iowa)
- Matt Cartwright (D-Pa.)
