It was sad news for the Biden administration to admit that the border situation was caused by their policies. But it wasn’t any grand spiritual epiphany that compelled the liberal media to actually tell the truth; it was the fact that illegal aliens were crossing when President Biden told them the border was open.

On ABC, co-host Martha Raddatz talked with a father from Brazil who moved to the United States with his family. The man told her that Biden was getting his hopes up.

RADDATZ: So, did you come here because Joe Biden was elected president?
UNIDENTIFIED FATHER: Basically. Basically. The main thing was the violence in my country, and the second thing I think was Joe Biden. You know, it like lightened up my hope. You know what I mean?

As she asked if he would want to access the country illegally under former President Trump, he said he wouldn’t. “Definitely not. Definitely. We had the chance, you know, but the same violence that’s going on today was there last year. We used to watch the news, and definitely wouldn’t do this” he said.

The man traveled to Mexico from Brazil with his wife and three young children before crossing the border asked the reporter not to show his face as he does not want any trouble.

The illegal alien said he came here because under Biden, “we have a chance” that didn’t exist under Trump.

Which brings us to the former president, who had this to say about Biden’s border crisis, “We proudly handed the Biden Administration the most secure border in history. All they had to do was keep this smooth-running system on autopilot. Instead, in the span of a just few weeks, the Biden Administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster. They are in way over their heads and taking on water fast.”

Meanwhile, the Biden administration appears to deny that a border issue exists, thus blaming it on Trump.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas praised the team’s treatment of the illegal alien crisis in an interview with NBC News’ Chuck Todd on Sunday, claiming that most illegal aliens were being driven away—except for children.

“We are safely processing the children who do come to our border,” said Mayorkas. “We strongly urge, and the message is clear, not to do so now. I cannot overstate the perils of the journey that they take.”

Mayorkas moved on to accuse the former president, implying unfairly that he the one to blame, he “dismantled the orderly, humane and efficient way of allowing children to make their claims under United States law in their own country.”

“We are rebuilding those orderly systems both in Mexico, in close partnerships with the Mexican government, and in the countries of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador,” Mayorkas added.

In reality, it was Trump’s actions that brought the migrant crisis to an end in 2019. He also negotiated arrangements with the three Central American countries that would cap the number of refugee requests made at the U.S. border. Asylum seekers were expected to apply in their home countries under the Asylum Cooperative Agreements in order to promote protection, according to DHS at the time.

With the Mayorkas’s interesting statement that the border is closed and secure, Trump responded: “Even someone of Mayorkas’ limited abilities should understand that if you provide Catch-and-Release to the world’s illegal aliens then the whole world will come. It’s clear they are engaged in a huge cover-up to hide just how bad things truly are. The only way to end the Biden Border Crisis is for them to admit their total failure and adopt the profoundly effective, proven Trump policies.”

The former president also urged Biden to “immediately complete the wall, which can be done in a matter of weeks.” “They should never have stopped it. They are causing death and human tragedy.”

But don’t take Trump’s word for it, that illegal alien interviewed by ABC is a walking tourist review for Biden’s immigration policies. He invited them and they came. Biden will get a 5-star rating from every third-world country.
