Democratic state Rep. Karen Whitsett of Michigan thanked President Donald Trump for saving her life and criticized Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, drawing the wrath of her fellow Democrats in the state capital, Detroit.
Whitsett had contracted the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Virus and was cured by requesting hydroxychloroquine, a medicine recommended in scientific studies and endorsed by President Trump, whom she visited at the White House on April 14 to express her appreciation.
On the same occasion, she criticized Gov. Whitmer because her orders for general confinement harmed poor citizens, who were limited in their ability to obtain food.
These actions by Whitsett caused Detroit Democrats to mount an assault and, through the Democratic Party Organization of the 13th Congressional District, plan to censure her and withdraw support, according to the local Detroit News.
Whitsett claimed her right to the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and said she will continue to represent and defend her constituents despite her opponents.
“I’m a Democrat, and I plan on continuing to be a Democrat, but they will change their ways. I have my First Amendment right, and no one will take that away from me,” Whitsett said.
She added that she will fight for “the voiceless, and I don’t care who I have to deal with to do that,” referring to her Detroit constituency.
When Whitsett visited Trump at the White House, she rejected partisan attitudes amid the crisis caused by the CCP Virus pandemic.
“And at this time right now, everyone needs to get behind the president of the United States and the vice president of the United States, and we need to simply unite together,” she reiterated, insisting that Americans had “a president in the White House, not a Republican president.”
There are several people like Whitsett who have recovered from the effects of the CCP Virus, using hydroxychloroquine, which in addition to being endorsed by several scientific studies is considered an effective therapy by thousands of doctors.
The CCP Virus pandemic is causing hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide and enormous economic losses.
The irregularities presented by the Chinese communist regime, including the concealment of the seriousness of the outbreak, have generated rejection in many countries, some of which are preparing to sue and thus obtain economic compensation for the damage caused.
