Another member of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is under criminal investigation, according to a report by Politico published on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Biden’s brother and alleged business partner James Biden is also on the radar of federal investigators, the outlet reported.

The news came after Joe Biden’s son Hunter acknowledged that he has been under a grand jury investigation through the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware since 2018 over his “tax affairs.”

Politico said that the federal investigation “has been more extensive than the statement from Hunter Biden indicates.”

“In addition to the probe into Hunter Biden, federal authorities in the Western District of Pennsylvania are conducting a criminal investigation of a hospital business in which Joe Biden’s brother James was involved,” the paper states.

“Federal officials have asked questions about James Biden’s role in the business, according to a second person with direct knowledge of that investigation, who said it remains ongoing,” Politico continues.

“FBI agents, meanwhile, have been asking about James Biden’s dealings with the hospital company Americore Health, an operator of rural hospitals, as part of an investigation based out of the Western District of Pennsylvania,” it added.

Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, in October said that Joe Biden’s denials of any knowledge or involvement in his son’s foreign dealings are “a blatant lie.”

Bobuliski also said he raised concerns in 2017 to James Biden (Jim Biden) about Joe Biden’s alleged ties to a possible joint venture with a Chinese energy firm.

“I remember saying, ‘How are you guys getting away with this?’ ‘Aren’t you concerned?’” Bobulinski said on Fox News “Tucker Carlson Tonight”

Bobulinski said that Jim Biden then chuckled, “‘Plausible Deniability.’ He said it directly to me in a cabana at the Peninsula Hotel.”

Jim Biden refused to answer questions from Fox News about his family’s overseas business dealings.

According to CBS’s senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge, the investigation of Hunter Biden began in 2018 but went “quiet” during the 2020 election.

“Two sources familiar with the investigation tell @CBSNews the HB ‘tax’ probe began in 2018. The sources explained that during the election season the investigation went quiet, otherwise known as going ‘covert’ + noted that it would have violated policy at DOJ/FBI by taking any said ‘ove’ steps that would impact the election,” she wrote on Twitter.

Citing comments from Carlson and New York Post’s Miranda Devine, President Donald Trump said the investigation of Hunter was kept away from public not to influence the election results.
