The Democratic candidate Joe Biden has won the presidential contests in the District of Columbia and New York, while leading in the swing state of Pennsylvania, his campaign announced Tuesday, Nov. 3.
With the victory in the D.C., Biden is awarded its three electoral votes.

The Democrat also claims victories in Vermont, Delaware, Massachusetts, and Maryland.
The former vice president also defeated President Trump in New York, New Mexico, Illinois, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.

The updated data shows that Biden has won California and its 55 electoral votes, the biggest haul of any state.
He has also won Washington state, Oregon and Colorado.
