Democrats called scholar Noah Feldman as a witness in the controversial impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump. Feldman had written that Shariah was “more humane” than the U.S. Supreme Court.

Feldman even argued that Shariah is more “just” and “fair” than the laws applied in Western countries, and that these “need Shariah and Islam,” according to a controversial article excerpted from his book “The Fall and Rise of the Islamic State.”

The Democrats presented Feldman as a legal scholar and constitutional expert who, along with three other law professors, is participating in the ongoing impeachment inquiry chaired by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler(D-N.Y.).

To put it into perspective, the law used by Muslims was established in the seventh century and its precepts include cutting off the hands of thieves, stoning ‘adulterous women’ and blaming women when they are raped by men.

The controversial impeachment against President Trump has generated dissent after the first stage of public hearings in which 11 people testified over nine days, and presented no evidence that President Trump behaved inappropriately toward the Ukrainian government.

As Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) emphasized, Ukraine received all the aid offered by the United States and there is no evidence that Ukrainian officials carried out investigations in return.

Democrats accuse President Trump of asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden for political purposes. The former vice president is running for the 2020 election campaign.

The White House published the complete transcript of the telephone call between the two presidents, where it is clear that President Trump does not exert any kind of pressure.
