House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said more than three months after the Capitol insurgency that the insurgents would have “had a battle on their hands” if they ran into her, calling herself a “street fighter.”
According to USA Today, Pelosi said that a mob that stormed the Capitol wanted to kill her.
“That’s what they were setting out to do,” Pelosi said, admitting that rioters wanted to attack her and other high-profile targets, including former Vice President Mike Pence.
When asked if she was afraid, Pelosi told USA Today, “Well, I’m pretty tough. I’m a street fighter. They would have had a battle on their hands.”
Pelosi, 81, raised a foot clad in her 4-inch-high stilettos and said, “I would have had these” as weapons.
“I was never personally afraid because I had so much security for myself,” she added.
“I was afraid for everybody else, and I’ll never forgive them the trauma that they caused to the staff and the members,” she said.
Pelosi’s remarks drew a lot of laughter on Twitter.
😂😂😂 #ThugLife @SpeakerPelosi thinks she’s a street fighter. But watching this video of her struggling to get up makes me think otherwise. This article is great for a laugh! 😂😂😂https://t.co/GoLpILhTcz https://t.co/1HChKpfXiq

Delusional at best, like HRC dodging sniper bullets.

Before that, in the middle of February, Pelosi also announced the creation of a commission to further investigate the events that took place in the Capitol on Jan. 6, after the failed impeachment trial she pushed against former President Donald Trump for the same events.
Pelosi called what happened a “domestic terrorist attack” and said the commission would be similar to the one that investigated the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Democrats accused Trump of inciting violence in a peaceful demonstration that he called on Jan. 6 in search of electoral integrity. Then based on those accusations, they hastily mounted a trial that found Trump innocent of those charges, sparking Pelosi’s fury and two days later she set up this high-level investigation.
Democrats in both the House and Senate repackaged legislation that had already been introduced in 2020 to ban President Trump’s MAGA demonstrations and classify them as “domestic terrorism.”
Journalist Paul Sperry wrote on his Twitter account on Jan. 10, “DEVELOPING: Democrats in both the House and Senate are planning to draft legislation to classify MAGA rallies as ‘domestic terrorist activity’ and require the FBI, DOJ & DHS to take steps to prevent such ‘domestic terrorism.’ Sen. Durbin is leading effort along with Rep Schneider.”
Along these lines, Democrats introduced a controversial bill called the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021 (DTPA).
The apparent “hunt for domestic terrorists,” already seemed to have been set in motion, given that the FBI raided homes of many Trump supporters, without a clear reason, because they were not participants in the Jan. 6 demonstration.
In the face of the growing strength of the political force embodied by Trump, the commission suggested an escalation of the crackdown against him.
