Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, said in an interview with Fox News that revelation of the corruption involving Hunter Biden and his father, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign, an idea a Democratic congressman is trying to push to divert attention from the severity of the allegation.
This past Wednesday, the well-known Big Apple newspaper, the New York Post, on Wednesday, Oct. 14, published an explosive story involving Joe Biden’s son and himself in a series of corruption scandals that could well cost the Democratic candidate the election.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, famous for leading the failed impeachment attempt against President Trump, spoke on CNN about the New York Post story.
“We know that this whole smear on Joe Biden comes from the Kremlin,” Schiff said on CNN. “That’s been clear for well over a year now that they’ve been pushing this false narrative about this vice president and his son.”
Ratcliffe criticized Schiff for trying to politicize the Biden corruption case and denied that there is any intelligence to support Schiff’s theory on the matter.
“Let me be clear: The intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. We have shared no intelligence with chairman Adam Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”
According to the New York Post story, Hunter’s personal laptop was taken to a repair store in Delaware but was never picked up. The store owner gave a copy of the laptop’s hard drive to Rudy Giuliani, a consultant for Trump, who reportedly leaked some of the emails to the New York Post.
In those emails, there is evidence of business between Chinese state firms, the Ukrainian gas company Burisma and Hunter Biden, who allegedly used his father’s official position to profit from these deals. In addition, compromising photos of Biden’s son using drugs, were also found.
The Biden corruption scandal is not new. One of the false arguments with which the Democrats wanted to impeach Trump was that the incumbent president requested an investigation of Joe Biden for a potential fraud case in Ukraine during his tenure as vice president.
The Democrats accused President Trump of trying to abuse his power by investigating a political rival. However, from the attempted impeachment of President Trump, it became known that Hunter Biden served on the board of directors of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, collecting a million-dollar salary in a position he earned through the connections of his father, the then vice president.
President Trump was right, Joe Biden is corrupt.
The news hurt Biden’s campaign considerably, and both Facebook and Twitter have tried everything to censor the news and block the accounts of the users who shared it, including the account of White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
This decision once again exposes Silicon Valley’s political bias, or perhaps why not, its attempt to interfere with elections in favor of the Democratic Party.
