Hunter Biden, son of now Democratic candidate for the upcoming presidential election, Joe Biden, was called to appear in an Arkansas court after receiving a new lawsuit regarding financial records produced by child support.

As reported by Fox News, the lawsuit filed by Lauden Alexis Roberts arose from Biden’s failure to provide financial information for her son’s expenses.

Independence County Circuit Court Judge Holly Meyer said Tuesday, Jan. 21, that Hunter Biden should come forward and “show cause, if any exists, as to why he should not be held in contempt for any of the alleged violations of this Court’s orders,” thus urging him to appear on Jan. 29.

Roberts’s attorney accused Biden of failing to meet a court-ordered deadline for him to release detailed records that should also specify the names of the companies he owns or controls, as well as his source of income plus the number of employers he had over the past five years.

The lawsuit also requests that former Vice President Biden’s son release unredacted copies of tax returns, copies of property deeds he owns, among other details, as collected by Daily Caller.

Robert Clinton Lancaster, the attorney handling the case, said during a session Monday that Biden has even refused to provide information regarding his home address or phone number.

Biden has shown no willingness to travel from Los Angeles to Arkansas, claiming he has had little time to make the trip.

According to the Daily Mail, the defendant has so far provided only some of the required information, so the judge now expects him to explain why he has not provided all the data.

Biden also initially denied being the father of the child born in August 2018, but after a DNA test and verification that it was his child, a court ruled in early January that he was the biological father.

As indicated in the Daily Mail, Roberts’s legal team referred to an earlier legal order requesting both of them to submit all documents related to the child support case no later than Jan. 16.

Roberts’s lawyers  claimed that Biden “failed to provide any additional discovery information of any nature,” and therefore alleged that his conduct is “willful and contemptuous,” arguing that he should be disregarded by the court.

“Biden continues to act as though he has no respect for this Court, its orders, the legal process in this state, or the needs of his child for support,” the lawyers said.

The case, in which Roberts, a 28-year-old former stripper who met Biden while working in Washington, D.C., filed the legal documents, was opened on Dec. 9, 2019, and has been ongoing ever since without a definition from both sides.

The documents at stake also involve showing the detailed entries generated by the former vice president’s son working with the renowned Ukrainian gas company Burisma, an issue that is also a part of the impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

The House Democrats accusation came after the president had a conversation with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in which he asked him to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden, who was linked to the mentioned energy and gas company.

So far, President Trump has requested that Hunter Biden be considered as a possible witness in the new phase of the impeachment trial that began Tuesday in the Senate.

As Fox News pointed out, the case looming over the former U.S. vice president’s son has led to numerous allegations, including claims by Florida-based private investigation firm D&A Investigations that he was involved in a $156 million “counterfeiting scheme.”

Hunter’s legal team denied the unverified claims, calling the efforts as “another obviously bogus” scheme by a nonparty simply to make scandalous allegations in the pending suit to gain media attention without any material or pertinent material.”
