According to new documents that appeared about the Biden family business, it appears that Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic candidate Joe Biden, created a shell company in order to avoid registering as a foreign agent and being able to do business with a Chinese company by bidding for contracts with the U.S. government. The information came to light thanks to text messages spread by his former partner Tony Bobulinski.
“No matter what it will need to be a U.S. company at some level in order for us to make bids on federal and state-funded projects. Also we don’t want to have to register as foreign agents under the FCPA [Foreign Corrupt Practices Act], which is much more expansive than people who should know choose not to know. James has very particular opinions about this so I would ask him about the foreign entity,” Hunter Biden wrote to Bobulinski on May 1, 2017, as published by the Washington Examiner.
That same day he wrote again, “Regardless, we should have a DE [Delaware] come (sic) called CEFC America and ownership should be 50 me 50 them. We then cut up our 50 in a separate entity between the 4 of us. Create that company call it BWBG or whatever it’s just a pass through.”
Last week, the Washington Examiner released the texts suggesting that Joe Biden met with his brother James Biden, Bobulinski, and Hunter Biden in 2017. At the time, Joe Biden’s son and associates were looking for a lucrative deal with a Chinese tycoon, Ye Jianming, which further complicates the former vice president’s claims that he never discussed business with his son. CEFC is a multimillion-dollar Chinese conglomerate founded by Ye, which has since disappeared in China.
The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, claims to serve the purpose of making it illegal for certain individuals and entities to make payments to foreign government officials to help obtain business.
Hunter Biden may also have been referring in his message to the Foreign Agent Registration Act, a law that “requires certain foreign plaintiffs’ agents to make periodic public disclosures of their relationship with the foreign principal.”
Both of these options would be detrimental to the interests of the Bidens, and it is therefore understood that Hunter intended to create a U.S.-based shell company, so as not to be affected by this type of legislation, which would hinder the obscure business they intended to conduct.
“I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to ‘the Big Guy’ in the much-publicized May 13, 2017, email is, in fact, a reference to Joe Biden,” Bobulinski told Fox News last week.
In the same interview he added, “Hunter Biden called his dad ‘the Big Guy’ or ‘my chairman’ and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing.”
“I have heard Joe Biden say that he has never discussed business with Hunter. That is false. I have firsthand knowledge about this because I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” Bobulinski remarked.
Bobulinski, presented in the media only a few texts from many others that he said he possesses that mean a real treasure for Justice. He also provided his records to the Senate Government Affairs and National Security Committee, while also testifying at the FBI office last Friday. As it turned out, his records are not the same as the ones supposedly on Hunter Biden’s laptop published by the New York Post.
