Former adviser to President Clinton Dick Morris on Sunday, Oct 26, unveiled that Hillary Clinton most likely wants to enter the 2020 presidential race because she believes “God put her on the Earth” to be president.
Morris told John Catsimatidis on his radio show that the main question revolving around the 2020 election is whether “the ghost of Hillary Clinton” will get into the election.
“My feeling is that she wants to,” Morris said. “She feels entitled to do it. She feels compelled to do it. She feels that God put her on the Earth to do it. But she’s hesitant because she realizes the timing is bad,” he said, according to The Hill.
The former adviser said he believes Clinton is waiting for a chance to jump into the race and especially for former Vice President Joe Biden to drop out.
“She’s got to wait until Biden drops out because he’s obviously next in line for it, and if he goes away, there’s an opening for her,” Morris said.
Clinton would substitute for Biden as the moderate candidate as voters look for an alternative to “leftist” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), said Morris.
“The question is, are there enough moderates to beat Elizabeth Warren, the leftist?” he asked.
“Make no mistake; she wants it,” he added. “She’s planning on it. She’ll do everything she can to achieve it.”
Rumors have circulated concerning Clinton’s entrance into the race as she tours to promote her recent book with her daughter.
Trump campaign welcomes
President Donald Trump’s campaign spokeswoman said she would love Hillary Clinton to run for the Democratic Party in the 2020 presidential election.
“We encourage Hillary to get back in the race. We would love it, so please do,” said McEnany, who added that neither Democrat would put President Trump’s leadership at risk.
President Trump himself, echoing the rumors, wanted to encourage the Democrat on Twitter to fight with him again:
“I think that Crooked Hillary Clinton should enter the race to try and steal it away from Uber Left Elizabeth Warren. Only one condition. The Crooked one must explain all of her high crimes and misdemeanors including how & why she deleted 33,000 Emails AFTER getting “C” Subpoena!”
To which Hillary Clinton replied, “Don’t tempt me.”
But many Democrats think differently.
“I don’t think it would be good for her,” Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) said. “She’s been through this war once. The Republicans have made a target out of her for 30 years and she’s still going to [be] that same target. I just think it would be tough.”
“That would be a mistake,” Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) said.
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) also chimed in, saying that Clinton should “absolutely not” join the 2020 race.
“We have a lot of really fantastic candidates out there already,” Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) said. “Let’s leave it at that.”
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) believes it’s better that Clinton avoid going through the same chaos of losing again.
“I can sort of see the expression on her face, of sort of disbelief and dismissal, Blumenthal said. “It’s just my instinct that there’s no way she wants to go through this meat grinder again.”
