Florida’s chief law enforcement official announced the federal government is endangering American lives by freeing criminal foreigners.

Sunshine State Attorney General Ashley Moody is furious about the Joe Biden administration’s decision to stop deporting criminal aliens and start releasing those already in jail back onto the streets.

“The Biden administration’s reckless decision, to not deport violent criminals who are in this country illegally, places all those gains and Floridians’ public safety at risk,” she said in a video shared on YouTube. “This is a radical shift that places Floridians and our law enforcement officers in greater danger.”

Moody revealed previous Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama have consistently “detained and deported” criminal foreigners.

“Convicted criminals that would have been deported under past administrations, including President Trump and even President Obama, are now walking free in Florida,” she said.

According to the Florida attorney general’s office, the Sunshine State ranks third in the number of calls to the National Human Trafficking Hotline.

“We are in the midst of an opioid crisis claiming nearly 17 lives a day in Florida, yet the federal government is letting heroin traffickers who are here illegally walk free,” Moody said. “Ending these reckless policies will allow us to better protect Floridians and immigrants alike and build a stronger, safer Florida.”

The attorney general recently revealed plans to sue the Biden administration for failing to fulfill its legal obligations.

“It is unbelievable, the folks that are law enforcement leaders are required to release,” she told Fox News’s “Fox and Friends” program. “My frustration has boiled over, and we are going to hold them accountable in federal court.”

Moody believes federal authorities have a legal obligation to remove foreigners who are found guilty of participating in drug and sex crimes. However, the Democratic Party appears to be “thumbing its nose” at upholding federal law.

“First, they canceled Operation Talon, which targeted sex offenders here in the United States illegally, and now they have released guidance, which is basically releasing into our streets, serious criminal offenders,” she said. “They are [also] canceling detainers and requiring our law enforcement leaders to release them back into our states. This includes heroin traffickers, people who are breaking into homes–you know, use of a firearm.”

She still finds it hard to understand why Biden and his Cabinet will not prioritize public safety.

“It is required to deport criminal aliens that are here illegally, and it is just saying we are not going to do it anymore,” she said.
