A federal law enforcement agency has obtained a court order to confiscate a personal computer that belongs to the son of the Democratic Party’s nominee for president.

The FBI subpoenaed Hunter Biden’s laptop and hard drive in December 2019 to investigate allegations the man was involved in illegal money laundering activity.

According to Fox News, one of the FBI documents called a “receipt for property” form confirms Mac Shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac had been contacted to inform authorities about the laptop’s contents.

The subpoena document signed by FBI Special Agent Joshua Wilson lists serial numbers for an Apple MacBook Pro laptop and a Western Digital external hard drive.

The BL understands the first four digits of the official case identification number “272D”  notes the investigation concerns “money laundering,” possibly “transnational or blanket,” or an “unknown specified unlawful activity” under the agency’s White Collar Crime Program.

“If a criminal case was opened and subpoenas were issued, that means there is a high likelihood that both the laptop and hard drive contain fruits of criminal activity,” a government official told the broadcaster.

The next two letters “BA” mean the FBI originally opened the case at its Baltimore field office, which appears likely, as the subpoena was executed in Wilmington, Delaware, which lies within the same office’s jurisdiction.

“The FBI cannot open a case without predication, so they believed there was predication for criminal activity,” the official said. “This means there was sufficient evidence to believe that there was criminal conduct.”

The White Collar Crime Program investigates a variety of fraud involving business and government professionals.

“These crimes are characterized by deceit, concealment, or violation of trust and are not dependent on the application or threat of physical force or violence,” the FBI website said. “The motivation behind these crimes is financial—to obtain or avoid losing money, property, or services, or to secure a personal or business advantage.”

The Oval Office believes the investigation is further evidence that Joe Biden misused his former vice presidential role. He allegedly met with Burisma board adviser Vadym Pozharskyi to intervene with the Ukrainian government on behalf of his son, Hunter. At the time, Hunter was a board member of the Burisma energy company.

“Hunter Biden’s laptop is a disaster for the entire Biden family but especially for his father, Joe,” President Donald Trump said on Twitter. “It is now a proven fact and cannot be denied that all of that info is the real deal. That makes it impossible for ’50 percent or 10 percent’ Joe to ever assume the office of the president!”

The president revealed he was not surprised by the contents of the documents.

“Joe Biden is a corrupt politician, and everybody knows it,” he said on Twitter. “Now you have the proof, perhaps like never was had before on a major politician. Laptop plus. This is the second biggest political scandal in our history.”
