Eric Trump has blamed the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for the prank calls from supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, which flooded the President Trump’s campaign voter fraud hotline.

“The @DNC is spamming our voter fraud hotline to bog down the thousands of complaints we are receiving! Wonder what they have to hide,” the son of President Donald Trump wrote in a tweet on the weekend.

The Trump campaign has set up a website and a hotline for voters to report voter suppression, irregularities, and fraud around the Nov. 3 election.

“The hotline is proving to be very effective as there are thousands of Americans who had very concerning experiences while voting,” a Trump campaign spokesman said in an emailed statement sent to The Hill. “We are gathering information as we prepare to move forward.”

However, the hotline has been deluged by prank calls from Biden supporters after some media news outlets called him the winner in the presidential election.

According to ABC News, Trump campaign staffers in the campaign’s headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, have received hundreds of calls a day on the hotline since Election Day, but they have been bombarded with prank calls from those laughing or mocking them over Biden’s projected win before hanging up.

Some callers are suspected of keeping the lines busy so that those wanting to report frauds could not get through.

President Trump and his team have said for months that the election would be subject to massive fraud and corruption due to the mail-in voting systems.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, nearly 40 House Republicans sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr requesting the Department of Justice investigate allegations of potential voter fraud.

In the the letter, the GOP lawmakers asserted, “With widespread reports of irregularities, particularly in the vote counting process, it is time for you to use the resources of the department to ensure that the process is conducted in a manner that is fully consistent with state and federal law.”

The Republicans said that the American people must have the utmost confidence that the outcome of the presidential election is legitimate.

According to Axios, President Trump’s team has also assembled recount teams in key battleground states and plans to present evidence that Democrats were using dead people to steal Electoral College votes from the president.
