President Donald Trump on Friday, April 17, slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), demanding that they return to Washington to deliver to Americans more financial relief amid the CCP Virus crisis.

“Today people started losing their jobs because of Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, and the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, who should immediately come back to Washington and approve legislation to help families in America,” the president said. “End your ENDLESS VACATION!”

The government’s nearly $350 billion loan program for small businesses that have been forced to close over the virus pandemic officially ran out of funds on Thursday. The Trump administration and Republicans want to add another $250 billion to the program that gives struggling small businesses up to $10 million in forgivable loans to make their payrolls, but have been rebuffed by Democrats who demand additional federal funding for hospitals.

The program’s loss of funding and the stalemate over replenishing the relief bill sparked outrage from congressional GOP leaders.

“It’s ridiculous we cannot replenish the small business loan program which is working well. If we can’t reach an agreement to save additional jobs in the small business sector, Congress should cut its own pay!” Sen. Lindsey Graham tweeted.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) claimed Democrats are bogging down CCP Virus relief with progressive proposals rather than providing aid to help struggling small businesses.

“It’s ridiculous that Speaker Pelosi doesn’t classify businesses struggling to make payroll as an emergency,” Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) said. “Communities all across our country need help NOW.”

Over a dozen of House Democrats on Friday broke with their leaders to call for immediate refunding of the Paycheck Protection Program to protect small businesses.

“The @SBAgov ’s Paycheck Protection Program has just run out of money, leaving business owners who are trying to pay their employees stranded. We need to fund the PPP and other SBA [Small Business Administration] programs—there are small businesses counting on our support,” Rep. Jason Crow (D-Colo.) wrote.

President Trump blasted Pelosi on Thursday after funding for the program expired, calling the speaker a “poor leader” and “totally incompetent.”
