A Democrat broke social-distancing rules while walking though a Virginia airport without covering her mouth and nose despite earlier urging the civil aviation authority to make face masks mandatory.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) was recently caught on camera moving through Dulles International Airport without wearing her face mask.
Images obtained by Fox News clearly show the senator did not cover her face while being escorted by a pilot. The pilot wears a mask and carries both a bag and a dog in front of her.
“Given that this show exclusively obtained photographs, and this is going to rock the world, [of] Dianne Feinstein in a private terminal at Dulles Airport, a fixed-base operator (FBO) as they say in private aviation,” presenter Tucker Carlson said in a video shared on Air.TV. “In the photographs, Feinstein can be seen smiling without a mask on. One might even say she is so in confusion about whether or not masks are necessary.”
The photos confused Carlson, especially because three months earlier, the Democrat had sent a letter to demand the Federal Aviation Administration requires all staff and passengers to wear face masks in airports.
“Feinstein wrote that we need a ‘mandatory mask policy for all airport and airline employees and passengers,'” he said. “Feinstein claimed the agency had ‘sowed confusion among passengers about whether masks are necessary’ but they are necessary, says Dianne Feinstein. Not wearing [masks] is ‘very dangerous,’ given the coronavirus [CCP Virus.]”
In July, the senator also announced that face masks should be mandatory in all public locations where there is a risk of being infected by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Virus.
“Wearing masks in public should be mandatory, period,” she said in a statement. “The situation is getting worse daily. Several states including California, Alabama, and Montana already require masks in public [and] this should be universal … this is a matter of life or death and partisan politics should not play a role.”
According to the airport website, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) responded to this plea by making “protective face coverings” mandatory in public spaces and Dulles International Airport on May 29.
However, when Carlson contacted Sen. Feinstein’s office about the photographs, she was eerily silent about the importance of wearing face masks. This led the presenter to speculate about what her official response might be.
“We have not heard back,” he said. “We can be sure of one thing: this is not really Dianne Feinstein’s fault, just like when the hair salon framed [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi caught not wearing a mask while getting her hair done. Dulles Airport, the diabolical FBO probably masterminded the whole thing.”
