A CNN employee confessed to an undercover journalist that his network had been using “propaganda” to hurt Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.).

Technical director Charles Chester was asked whether CNN used “propaganda” on-air in another damning video posted by the right-wing guerilla news site Project Veritas. Chester confesses after struggling to answer the question at first. Chester referenced the GOP congressman’s scandals, which had surfaced just days before when asked to clarify how CNN used “propaganda.”

Chester explained his manipulation of the truth to help the Democrat cause: “If the agenda, say, is to get, like, Matt Gaetz right now, he’s like this Republican,” and “He’s a problem for the Democratic Party because he’s so conservative, right? And he can cause a lot of hiccups in passing of laws and whatnot. So, it would be great for the Democratic Party to get him out. So we’re going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him and make it so that it can’t be buried and, like, just settled outside of court. And just like, you know, if we keep pushing that, it’s helping us.”

CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News. In recent weeks, Gaetz has been at the forefront of a media firestorm over accusations of improper contact with a minor, sex bribes, and possible sex trafficking. The congressman denied misconduct and refused to apologize in the face of demands to do so.

Gaetz’s political woes have received a lot of attention from CNN, especially on “Cuomo Prime Time. Anchor Chris Cuomo has been reporting on the latest events while ignoring the growing controversies engulfing his older brother Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The latter has been accused of sexual assault by nine people.

Project Veritas, a notorious whistleblower watchdog organization, has previously revealed what it believes to be hidden camera videos of network television producers, leaders, and employees of private political parties making speeches while unaware they are being filmed.

Veritas recently published a clip of Chester acknowledging CNN’s “target” during the 2020 presidential race was to get President Trump out of office. As part of that, the network fabricated rumors about the Republican’s wellbeing to help candidate Joe Biden.

Gaetz revealed a six-figure ad buy to fight CNN on Wednesday, April 14, as he struggles to save his political career in the face of human trafficking allegations.

According to Gaetz’s congressional team, a 30-second commercial ad will air in the Florida Republican’s congressional district and nationwide on select cable networks. The commercial kicks off Gaetz’s counteroffensive to fight back against a multiweek false news cycle targeting him.

Former President Donald Trump slammed CNN for making the whole thing up; he also wonders why the network isn’t reporting on Rep. Eric Swalwell’s involvement with a Chinese spy instead.

Trump added: “Fake News CNN, relying on all anonymous sources, meaning they probably made the whole thing up, wrote a very dishonest story claiming Congressman Matt Gaetz asked for a meeting with me at Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, and was denied. This is completely false,”
