Christians in China report suffering routine beatings, indoctrination, and solitary confinement designed to harm them, inflicted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to make them deny their faith.

The CCP does not tolerate freedom of worship or conscience and requires clergy to use its platforms to promote the regime’s agenda among believers, according to Breitbart April 2.

One of the victims told of a torture site: “It was a mobile facility, which could simply be set up in a basement somewhere,” said Li Yuese (a pseudonym), a resident of the southwestern province of Sichuan, according to RFA.

Yuese recounted, “It had its own (CCP) political and legal affairs committee working group, and they mainly target Christians who are members of house churches.”

Yuese described his confinement in a windowless room for nearly 10 months, where he suffered beatings, insults and was “mentally tortured” by staff, going so far as to self-harm by throwing himself against a wall.

Finally, when he was released, he was very ill, with edema all over his body and a weight gain of 22 pounds. There are many stories similar to that of Yuese.

As a supposed alternative, the CCP created two choices of ‘religion’ for its inhabitants, one similar to Roman Catholicism but dependent on the party and not the Vatican and another supposedly ‘evangelical,’ the Three-State Patriotic Church, also run by the political system.

Thus, millions of Christians have opted for ‘house churches,’ where they hold ceremonies in their private homes or in groves where a few of them gather.

The CCP propagandizes atheism and persecutes any form of religious practice among citizens.

As a function of these policies, police and religious affairs bureau officials frequently raid forbidden “house churches.”

Officially there are reportedly 40 million Christians on Chinese territory, but other estimates put the number at 100 million, outnumbering CCP members.

The CCP also commits mass arrests, torture, and forced organ harvesting of practitioners of the ancient doctrine based on Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance: Falun Gong or Falun Dafa and has been doing so since 1999.

The CCP’s repression has led to the construction of hundreds of concentration camps for Muslims in the west of the country, where they face extreme treatment described as genocide by the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands.
