An elected official that’s responsible for ensuring the Democratic Party passes legislation in the House is demonizing the White House because the current administration does not support postal voting.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) strangely accused the entire White House of committing crimes against the state simply because Republicans want people to cast their ballots at polling stations instead of their local U.S. Postal Service office.
“We take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic,” she said in a video shared on YouTube. “Sadly, the domestic enemies to our voting system and honoring our Constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with their allies in the Congress of the United States.”
Pelosi claimed the Trump administration was trying to stop people from voting at the upcoming election.
“They are doing everything they can to suppress the vote–with your actions, scare people, intimidate by saying law enforcement will be there, diminish the role of the postal system in all of this,” she said. “It is really, actually shameful–enemies of the state.”
She then encouraged all members of the House to organize protests on the street against the president, the Republican Party, and even the White House until they give in to the Democratic Party’s demand for a $25 billion postal voting scheme for the general election on Nov. 3.
“Let us just get out there and mobilize, organize, and not let the president deter anybody from voting,” she said. “And again, support the postal system, which is election central.”
However, the Oval Office has seen no proposals from the Democrats that would address ongoing concerns that postal voting could seriously compromise the integrity of the electoral system.
For instance, Michigan Republican Party-appointed poll scrutineer Bob Cushman witnessed up to 20,000 unverified absentee ballots being fed through machines and counted during the Detroit primary on Aug. 4.
He recalled several counting tables had “opened ballots with no poll book” available to verify the validity of each voter as a “qualified, real voter,” according to a court affidavit.
President Donald Trump is concerned that allowing a postal vote would open the door to election fraud and waste more taxpayer money.
“All the radical-left Democrats are trying to do with the post office hearings is blame the Republicans for the fraud that will occur because of the 51 million ballots that are being sent to people who have not even requested them,” he said on Twitter. “They are setting the table for a big mess.”
