Rapper Lil Wayne met with President Donald Trump on Thursday, Oct. 29, and confirmed his support for the Platinum Plan, the Trump administration’s project to promote the development of black communities across the United States.

Rapper Dwayne Michael Carter, 38, better known as Lil Wayne, after meeting with President Trump announced on his Twitter account his support for the Platinum Plan project.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump. The platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership,” said Wayne.

In addition, the hip-hop icon also praised President Trump for his work on criminal justice reform and for listening to the black community. “He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,” Lil Wayne added.

Wayne’s support for President Trump and his policies of black community development comes at a time when several artists are joining in.

Such is the case of rapper 50 Cent, who according to the Post, confirmed last week that he supports President Trump for re-election, saying that with the tax plan of Democrat Joe Biden he could become “20 Cent.”

A tweet published by 50 Cent included a clip from Fox News, with President Trump’s campaign adviser, Katrina Pierson, ironically stating that he is changing his name.

The support of these artists comes at a time when President Trump is trying to broaden his support among black voters, especially by highlighting the role of candidate Joe Biden in drafting the legislation of the 1980s and 1990s that contributed to the “mass incarceration” of minorities.

Ice Cube, another rap legend, who contributed to the Trump administration’s development of the Platinum Plan proposal, also gave his support repeatedly.

Even a few weeks ago, Ice Cube accused CNN, President Trump’s self-declared enemy, of canceling an interview they had scheduled precisely because he had supported the president and his development policies toward blacks.

“So the POWERS canceled my interview on @CuomoPrimeTime tonight. They can’t seem to handle the truth.” Ice Cube said on his Twitter account.

Platinum Plan

The Platinum Plan was created by the Trump administration to design ways in which it will help the development of the black population in the United States in the event that Trump is re-elected.

The plan includes promises to brand the KKK and antifa as terrorist organizations, increase security in predominantly African American neighborhoods, and create 3 million jobs for the black community by strengthening President Trump’s immigration policies to protect American jobs, among other things. Nearly $500 billion was also pledged for the plan’s policies.
