Former Vice President Joe Biden snapped at Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, challenging him Saturday to “Ask the right questions.”
Biden, who was in Des Moines with several 2020 Democratic candidates for the steak fry, told Doocy he had never discussed his work in Ukraine with his son Hunter Biden. However, the exchange became tense then.
Joe Biden: “I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings. Here’s what I know—I know Trump deserves to be investigated. … You should be looking at Trump. Trump’s doing this because he knows I’ll beat him like a drum.” https://t.co/yrMdiajJTy pic.twitter.com/cY1YfS8Qf0

“Here is what I know,” a frustrated Biden said. “I know Trump deserves to be investigated. He is violating every basic norm of a president. You should be asking him the question: why is he on the phone with a foreign leader? Trying to intimidate a foreign leader. If that’s what happened … that appears what happened.”
Biden referenced the claim of a whistleblower that President Donald Trump had repeatedly pressured Ukrainian President Zelensky to help him by investigating his son Hunter Biden. According to the latest reports, this claim came from an anonymous source that had no direct knowledge of the telephone call in question.
“You should be looking at Trump,” Biden continued, pointing his finger at the reporters. “Trump’s doing this because he knows I’ll beat him like a drum. He’s using the abuse of power, and every element of the presidency to try to do something to smear me.”
“Everybody’s looked at this,” Biden concluded, turning back to Doocy and blasting, “Ask the right questions.”
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko spoke up on Sept. 21, about the telephone conversation between two leaders, saying that President Donald Trump had not pressured the Ukrainian president.
“I know what the conversation was about and I think there was no pressure. There was talk, conversations are different, leaders have the right to discuss any problems that exist,” Prystaiko said.
“This conversation was long, friendly, and it touched on a lot of questions, including those requiring serious answers,” he added.
President Trump asserted the Ukraine foreign minister’s comment, adding, “iI you’re looking for something done wrong, just look at the tape of Sleepy Joe. He is being protected by the Media!”
In the meantime, Sean Hannity indicated that Biden would be the victim of whistleblower story because it “opened the door for a national discussion” on the former vice president and his son for the Ukraine probe.
“The boomerang comes right back on Biden, his family, and the Democrats,” he said.
