A controversial Democrat who is running for the Oval Office spent decades using his political influence to befriend a foreign dictatorship, the president said.
President Donald Trump has exposed deeply rooted links between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and former Vice President Joe Biden that allegedly span several decades.
In multiple election campaign videos, the incumbent revealed his Democratic rival had spent 44 years extending favorable regulatory treatment to the CCP through trade agreements that gave Chinese state-run enterprises unfair advantages over their American counterparts.
“It is in our self-interest that China continues to prosper,” Biden can be heard saying in the video.
The footage also revisited allegations that Biden’s son, Hunter, successfully convinced a subsidiary of the Bank of China to deposit $1.5 billion in a fund. The Biden family denied receiving any amount from the fund.
“China is going to go to eat our lunch, come on man they are not bad folks, folks,” the Biden said in a video shared on Twitter.
The Donald Trump 2020 presidential campaign team claimed such deals were “dead wrong” because they “destroy American jobs, giving China most favored nation status, letting China walk all over us.”
The president expressed serious doubt over Biden’s ability to make decisions in the national interest.
Can Biden stand up to the CCP
“Joe Biden spent more than four decades in Washington standing up for China instead of American workers,” the president said on Facebook. “He will not stand up to China, never has, never will.”
Biden accused the president of needlessly raising alarm about the CCP Virus by closing the border to Chinese nationals who do not live in the United States.
“This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysterical xenophobia … [and] fear mongering,” he can be heard saying in the video. “Banning all travel will not stop it.”
The president believes the pandemic would have infected and killed many more Americans, if he had followed Biden’s advice. He also doubted an “old dog” like Biden had the ability to learn “new tricks.”
“When I placed travel restrictions on China on January 31 to slow the spread of the coronavirus, Joe Biden sided with the Chinese,” the president said on Facebook. “Biden was wrong.”
The Democrat has faced serious questioning about his mental health condition after he appeared to be confused when asked about the president’s response to the CCP Virus.
“I complimented him on dealing with China,” Biden said, later clarifying that he is not “going nuts.”
