The Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden, denounced in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the violence initiated in several cities of the country since May 25, following the death of George Floyd, after being criticized for ignoring it for so long, in a bid to boost his popularity in the polls.

According to Matt Hill, deputy national press secretary for Biden’s campaign, Biden will use the riots to attack President Donald Trump in his Aug. 31 speech, the Daily Caller reported.

It was only on Aug. 26 that Biden spoke out about the destruction caused in Kenosha since Aug. 23, following the shooting of 29-year-old African American Jacob Blake, which resulted in 34 fires, the destruction of dozens of businesses, and the deaths of two people.

Although the Democratic National Convention took place between Aug. 17 and 20, the issue of the riots in the country and the high crime rate that resulted from them was not mentioned.

President Trump has been sending the National Guard and other federal agents to help protect citizens and their property while being rejected by the Democratic leaders of the cities suffering under the action of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) and antifa, considered a terrorist.

Rep. Fred Keller (R-Pa.) considers that the Biden’s long silence is already very significant for undecided voters.

“Joe Biden hits the campaign trail, expected to pin the chaos in U.S. cities on President Trump. Pennsylvania Congressman, @RepFredKeller’s says Biden’s silence has already spoken volumes to swing-state voters,” an @FixFriendsFirst tweet said.

Other citizens approve of Trump’s intervention as necessary for the restoration of order in the cities devastated by the destruction caused by the anarchists, and criticize Ted Wheeler the mayor of Portland, one of the most affected cities, who continues to refuse the federal aid offered by Trump.

“Hey Ted Wheeler, Nobody believes that Trump hurting your feelings with mean words is why ANTIFA is burning Portland to the ground,” wrote author and comedian Tim Young.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers also opposes Trump’s Sept. 1 visit to Kenosha, which is inconsistent with Biden’s expected attacks on Trump in Pittsburgh.

Joe Biden is expected to address the violence in U.S. cities during his visit to Pennsylvania. And after failing to mention it during the DNC, the Democratic nominee will lay out a core question voters, “Are you safe in Donald Trump’s America?,” posted @FoxFriendsFirst.

President Trump referred to Biden’s departure to Pittsburgh as transitory and motivated by negative poll results.

“Joe Biden is coming out of the basement earlier than his hoped for ten days because his people told him he has no choice, his poll numbers are PLUNGING! Going to Pittsburgh, where I have helped industry to a record last year, & then back to his basement for an extended period…,” Trump tweeted.

He added, “His problem is interesting. He must always be weak on CRIME because of the Bernie Sanders Radical Left voter. If he loses them, like Crooked Hillary did, he is “toast,” and many will vote for me because of TRADE (Bernie was good on trade). Joe MUST always be weak on crime!”
