As November approaches, Democrats and their presidential nominee Joe Biden ramp up their attacks on President Donald Trump’s response to the CCP Virus (coronavirus) pandemic. However, data shows a different picture: blue states lead the country in number of the virus deaths and unemployment.

Democrats have zeroed in on the president’s handling of the pandemic since the first case was confirmed in the United States in late January and made their criticism become a talking point during the week of their convention.

Biden tore into President Trump during his acceptance speech at the Democrats National Convention that was held from  Aug. 17 to Aug. 20, claiming that the president has allowed the disease to kill more than 170,000 citizens.

“Just judge this president on the facts,” Biden said. “Five million Americans infected with COVID-19 [the CCP Virus]. More than 170,000 Americans have died. By far the worst performance of any nation on Earth.”

After the second night of the Republican National Convention, Biden campaign and Democrats continued to push their criticism.

“President Trump’s RNC is an alternate reality,” Biden spokeswoman Kate Bedingfield said in a statement.

“In this delusion, thousands of Americans didn’t die in the last week from COVID-19, nor have millions of Americans been infected or put out of work,” she said. “Our economy hasn’t ground to a halt and our kids aren’t being kept home from school. Donald Trump’s continual refusal to take this virus seriously has given the United States the worst outbreak in the world, and his convention’s refusal to come to grips with reality or acknowledge the magnitude of the loss is a stark reminder to Americans of his complete failure to lead.”

Democrats also railed against President Trump for failing to properly manage the pandemic, accused him of trying to “deceive the American public.”

“With every job report released, Trump has tried to deceive the American public about the state of our economy. He’s even called these numbers “joyous.” Over 177,000 Americans are dead and 58% of jobs lost during COVID have not returned. Trump lies, but the numbers don’t,” they tweeted.

However, more than a third of the American deaths Biden and Democrats cited have occurred in the Democratic-run states of New York, New Jersey, and California, reported Just The News.

According to the data-gathering website Worldometers, three Democratic-run states: New York, New Jersey, and California accounted for 33% of the virus deaths in the United States—just under 61,000. All three are exclusively controlled by Democrats with Democratic governors, and Democratic politicians in the statehouses.

Another study also shows that blue states in general are leading the nation in the virus death tolls and unemployment rate. Not only New York and New Jersey have the most virus deaths per capita despite severe lockdowns, these states also top the list when it comes to increases in unemployment with 12.0 % and 10.5 % respectively.
