A former president promised to launch a federal corruption inquiry if the Republicans win a majority at the midterm elections.

The GOP will investigate allegations that Joe Biden engaged in dishonest or fraudulent conduct if the party regains control of U.S. Congress. Donald Trump made the remarks at a Save America Rally in Conroe, Texas.

“Biden has the real scandals and, rest assured, when Republicans retake Congress the Biden corruption will be investigated and exposed by Congress,” he said in a video shared on Twitter.

Trump believes his successor’s relationship with Ukraine and son Hunter Biden should have been examined long ago. However, mainstream media limited opportunities for these money laundering allegations to be heard.

Hunter and his father deny wrongdoing, and no unlawful activity was proven at the time of publication.

“We no longer have a free and fair press because, if we did, all of this would end–it would not be there,” Trump said.

The former president also promised to introduce new leadership in Congress, starting with the House speaker.

“We are going to start by ending Nancy Pelosi’s political career once and for all,” he said. “Then we are going to kick the Biden crime family out of the White House in 2024.”

The remarks came after the former president considered pardoning Americans who were imprisoned for joining the 2021 Capitol riots.

“If I run and if I win, we will treat those people from January 6 fairly. We will treat them fairly,” he previously said. “If it requires pardons we will give them pardons, because they are being treated so unfairly.”

Although Trump has not officially announced his 2024 presidential campaign, he still intends to “take back the White House.”

“In 2024, we are going to take back that beautiful, beautiful house that happens to be white—that is so magnificent—and that we all love,” he said.
