A proud President Trump, who rarely talks about his young son in public, has given an insight into just how he feels about Barron. The president attended a rowdy rally in Las Vegas on Friday, Feb. 21, and gave glimpses into his private life, to the delight of the crowd.
President Trump revealed his 13-year-old son Barron is a “genius” who delights in computer work. “I have a son at home,” the president said. “He’s 13, he’s a genius with computers.”
Referring to the “Obamacare” “$5 million website,” he said his young son could have easily built the website, and he would have done it for free.
President Trump recounted, “‘Hi Dad! What’s up, Dad? Dad, get out of here.” The president jokingly continued, “Hey, listen. I’m the President of the United States, Barron.”
President Trump was in awe of the younger generation with the technology skills they have acquired.
“These guys are genius. You know, they grow up [using computers all the time], it’s like walking,” the president said. “I could have given him [the Obamacare] health care site. And he would have done it for nothing and it would have been better than what they have!”
The crowd began laughingly to chant, “Barron, Barron, Barron.”
“He’s going to like that, “ replied the president. He’s a good boy. He’s a tall boy, I’ll tell you that.” Barron stands at 6-foot-3, just an inch above his father. First Lady Melania Trump is 5-foot-11, so it’s no surprise the young Barron is tall. Others in the Trump family are not short either, the president’s second son, Eric Trump, is 6-foot-4, while Donald Trump Jr. stands at 6-foot-1. Ivanka Trump is 5-foot-11.
First Lady Melania Trump spoke in an interview for Mother’s Day, May 14, 2017, about her role as a mother. She takes being a mother very seriously, calling it, the “most important job ever,” reports BPR. “I am a full-time mom; that is my first job. I cook him breakfast. Bring him to school. Pick him up. Prepare his lunch. I spend the afternoon with him,” reports BPR.
“I think the No. 1 parenting secret is that it is so important to have a good listening skills,” she said.
President Trump added, “I listen to what Barron says, what troubles him and what he is excited about. Then I can guide and support. I don’t push my thoughts or likes or dislikes. I want him to grow to be his own person. I think is important to give a child room to make mistakes in order to learn.”
